On the Road Mix No. 9 - A Compilation of Mixes
As many of you have noticed, we’ve revamped a bit here at MFR. As a result, some of our archiving has gone a bit goofy. Which many of you have noticed in regards to my “On the Road” mixes (thanks for all of the emails and tweets, you know who you guys are). So, I thought I would quickly repost all of the On the Road mixes (not 8, because I just posted that) in this one place. These date back quite a while, so I hope you enjoy them!
On the Road Mix No. 7
Today brings my seventh installment in the On The Road series. I went to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this weekend with my band and played at Michigan Tech in Houghton. It was a blast and the eight-hour drive was beautiful. Since the U.P. is so far north, it actually seemed like we were watching the seasons go in reverse; i.e. snow on the ground, gray skies. While watching the snow pile up, I made this mix to keep me company over the weekend. Hope you like it.

On the Road Mix No. 5
I just got home from being on tour for nearly six weeks and I’m about to head out again for another month. But, before then, I wanted to post this mix I put together while we drove from Florida to New York. It came together rather nicely I think; a nice balance between solid newbies, loving classics, some downer cuts, and well-placed stress-relieving pop-punk jams. All in all, it’s worthy of a 15-hour drive. Let me know what you think.

On the Road Mix No. 2
I’m heading out in, oh, 20 minutes for a two week tour with my band, and this is the first of many mixes I have made for this trek amongst the stars. I really like having mix tapes in the van when stuck within its walls for four to ten hours a day. It brings a sort of focus to the drive that makes it that much more deliberate: if the soundtrack is cool, the drive is cool. Expect another mix soon!
